Turkish tourists arrivals in Iran increased by 35%

"Serious steps have taken towards achieving the goal of balancing the exchange of tourists between the two countries of Iran and turkey considering the increase in Turkish tourists' arrivals and the realization of 35% growth," deputy minister of tourism sector of Iranian Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts organization said.

Iran (IMNA) - "The number of tourists arriving from Turkey to Iran has been increased drastically compared to the previous years and we have witnessed a 35% growth rate compared to the same period last year," Vali Teimouri, deputy minister of tourism sector of Iranian Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts organization said in a joint meeting met with Mehmet Taşkın ,Turkish Cultural and Tourism Advisor, aiming at investigating the condition of tourism exchanges between the two countries and strengthening bilateral relations.

Pointing to the need for increased interaction between the two countries' private sectors in order to enhance tourism ties, the Iranian Deputy Tourism Minister said, "Holding the joint tourism meeting of (Business to business) with the cooperation of the private and public sectors of the parties could provide the necessary platform to strengthen the communications".

The Turkish Cultural Advisor in Tehran also announced turkey's readiness to participate in the Tehran International Tourism Fair in the last days of February, 2020.
