Italy keen on Iranian Markets

"Italian companies are still keen on being active in the Iranian market," the Italian ambassador to Tehran, Giuseppe Perrone, said.

Iran (IMNA) - During a joint meeting of the head of Tehran Chamber of Commerce and the Italian ambassador to Tehran, Giuseppe Perrone noted that "Iranian and Italian both are highly eager in developing bilateral relations".

" Italian companies are still keen on being active in the Iranian market," he added.

"Italian companies played a major role in most heavily attended exhibitions held at the permanent site of Tehran International Exhibitions; sometimes the only foreign companies attending the exhibition were the Italian one. I want also refer to the investment of an Italian company in Tabriz that works in the heating industry."

Pointing to the arrival of an Italian business delegation in Iran and eagerness of Italian Embassy to play a role in improving the economic relations between the two countries, he emphasized that, "Italy is interested in maintaining and developing relations with Iran. We have made all-out efforts to help Italian and Iranian companies gain a better and deeper understanding of the two countries' markets and find areas for cooperation."

The head of Tehran Chamber of Commerce said, "Given the history of long-standing and close cooperation between the two countries, Italy has a good knowledge of Iran's industry and market and can overtake its competitors in this regard."

"If the issue of banking relations is facilitated with the help of governments, joint ventures will leap and more capital will be invested by Italian firms in the lucrative and profitable areas of the Iranian market, resulting in mutual benefit."
