 Eye-popping Tir-kan Waterfall

Haft Abshar is one of the natural attractions located in northern Iran, at the heart of Hyrcanian forests of Savadkuh, near Babol, Mazandaran province.

Iran (IMNA) – Babol County which is located between the northern slopes of the Alborz Mountains and the southern coast of the Caspian Sea, enjoys a decent weather and intact nature. In addition, this northern county is home to many natural attractions like waterfalls that attract many tourists.

A collection of seven large and small waterfalls known as Tirkan Falls or Haft Abshar (seven falls) situated in the village of Tirkan. The height of the largest waterfall is about nine meters. These seven waterfalls are situated alongside the river, and there is a pond beneath each of the waterfall which add to the beauty of this area.

In order to reach the waterfalls, you should hike in the pristine nature of the Hyrcanian forests. The vegetation of this region includes date-plums, maple, alder, and common hornbeam.

This area is beautiful in each season; in spring, the waterfalls are water rich due to the rainfalls. The hot days of summer is the best time to enjoy the pleasant weather of this area. The colorful leaves in autumn attract everybody's eyes, but in winter its very cold and snowy. Don’t miss these waterfalls, and enjoy listening to the sound of falling water.
