Isfahan (IMNA) - Referring to the presence of 40,000 handicraftsmen in Isfahan, he said, "the handicraft industry is facing multiple challenges and losing the potential opportunities due to the emergence of artifacts."
Arguing that handicrafts are considered as the identity and background of the country, Director General of Isfahan's Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization said, "in case of exporting, the industry can bring currency into the country and act as a money making industry."
"In our urban spaces, we still do not have the symbols displaying Isfahan's being a global handicraft city. So, we have to present the handicraft potential of Isfahan through designing urban elements and out of home advertising," he said.
Pointing to the good cooperation of the municipality of Isfahan, Allah Yari said, "11th edition of International tourism and handicraft exhibition was a new inter-organizational experience; so, we are intended to hold the exhibition in Isfahan permanently."
