Isfahan benefits from Reverse Vending Machines

Announcing the provision of two Reverse Vending Machines (RVM) for Isfahan, the deputy of Planning, Research, and Technology of Waste Management Organization of Isfahan municipality said, "These machines accept plastic bottles from citizens and returns rewards to the users."

Iran (IMNA) – "About two months ago, the Waste Management Organization of Isfahan municipality was invited to attend the international convention of Green University, as the chair of  Waste Management Committee. Since then, the organization formed a responsible task force and has been working under the committee's regulation," Farshad Mostajeran noted.

Saying that the Waste Management organization of Isfahan municipality has organized and ran a booth in the exhibition of international convention of Green University, he added, "Activities, measures, and achievements of the organization displayed in this booth; some of them were performed completely, and the rest are being run."

"The Waste Management organization has made underground reservoirs that are put beneath the ground in the parks and promenades to preserve the beauty. These pointing smart reservoirs are operated automatically and receive wet and dry waste separately; the cost of each machine is 25 million toman," he continued.

"Observing environmental issues, especially the waste management and recycling ones, requires the citizens' cooperation. In fact, people's collaboration and contribution are needed to realize noble environmental goals," he also said.

Reverse vending systems ,known as redeem machines or recycling returns machines, are smart solutions to collect, sort and handle the return of used beverage containers that are popular in places that have container deposit laws or obligatory recycling legislation..
