40 million single night hotel stays registered

Iran’s deputy head of Tourism Organization and director of the country's travel services coordination headquarter announced the registration of over 40 million "single night hotel stays" in the first seven days of Nowruz.

Iran (IMNA) - "Over the past seven days, more than 40 million "night stays" have been registered in the country that indicates a 7.38 percent increase compared with the same period last year," Vali Teymoori said.

"The statistics show that people and tourists have warm welcomed the Nowruz holidays, and despite the poor weather conditions in some provinces, we arrived to witness the growth in travel and tourism. Fortunately, 62 thousand and 850 foreign tourists have entered the country so far, which shows the growth rate," he added.

"Our strong suggestion for tourists is visiting different parts of the country to get familiar with the culture, customs, traditions and historical and cultural attractions of each region," he added.

"Due to the climatic conditions in different provinces, we recommend travelers to get the necessary information before choosing their destination," Iran’s deputy head of Tourism Organization emphasized.
