Margoon; Iran's largest waterfall

Margoon waterfall is located at altitude of 2,200 meters in the Zagros Mountains amid the valleys of a village under the same name (Margoon) in Sepidan County, Fars province

Iran (IMNA) -The name in Persian language means "snake-like"; it refers to the way that water moves through all pore and furrow of the rocks before it finally reaches to the ground. This natural attraction with the height of 70 meters and width of 100 meters is one of the most beautiful and largest waterfalls in Iran and has added more beauties to the village.

The water of Margoon waterfall is very cold, limpid, and digestible. In winter, this fall is frozen and during the warmest season of the year, its temprature is under 10 degree. In addition to high mountains and mossy rocks, there are some wild trees on the steep slope of the valley that multiply the beauty of the area around the waterfall.

It is recommended to all nature lovers to see this beautiful waterfall, since the camera lens can never show the glory of this natural attraction. When you step inside this area, the sound of water dropping, and the amazing feeling of fresh water on your skin make you wonder.
