Iran (IMNA) – "Considering holding the first specialized meeting of Iran's metropolises assembly with the subject of energy, in addition to evaluating effective measures in optimizing energy consumption, using renewable energy, reforming the consumption pattern, creating software and hardware infrastructures in this regard, and implementing urban projects with the approach of optimal energy consumption, the performance of metropolises of the country has been investigated professionally," the deputy of urban services of Isfahan said.
"Accordingly, besides completing the initial assessment document, powerful presentation of continuous and regular achievements and measures of Isfahan municipality has been proposed in this meeting, regarding three main issues of optimizing energy consumption in urban public spaces, creating green buildings by using solar energy, and reforming the consumption pattern in urban facilities such as irrigation network, fountains, and lighting, with the centrality of optimization management in the field of urban services department, "Hossein Amiri added.
"The first rank in energy efficiency optimization management and the second place in developing renewable energy was achieved by Isfahan municipality, after assessing the measures and presented reports by the representatives of 16 metropolises, with the presence of representatives of Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Organization of the country, the responsible body for municipalities and Dehyaris, the head of urban developing committee of Tehran municipality, and the Director General of environmental organization of Tehran municipality," he also said.
