Isfahan's identity should be preserved in urban beautification

"Currently, the appearance of Isfahan is not quite desirable, therefore, a strategic, dynamic, and operational beautification plan should be codified," an urban design expert said.

Isfahan (IMNA) – Saying that the appearance of Isfahan like other cities of the country has been subjected to government's interests, Peyman Tutian said, "Fine and valuable monuments have remained from the past that indicate the combination of art, geometry, mysticism, and lifestyle of that time."

"The Jurjir Jameh and Jameh mosques that respectively belonged to the Buyid and Seljuk eras are among the prominent monuments in Isfahan that benefited from different types of art. Also, by the beginning of Qajar dynasty and the possibility of communicating with the west, western elements have emerged in Iranian architecture," he continued.

"Now we have arrived to witnesses the transformation in the appearance of the cities by developing the technology and promoting the international style, as well as expanding the relationship with the world through cyberspace; Isfahan is no exception in this regard," he continued.

"Avoiding fashionable and diversityism throughout the city, paying attention to the originality, identity, and the nature of skeleton bed of the city in order to make effective decisions in the beautification field, abstaining from arranging the surface, preparing original plans, paying attention to the economic dimension in the field of aesthetics, and also observing the principle of "avoiding idleness" (one of the principles of Iranian architecture) are the factors in preparing beautification plans that can be can be referred in maintaining and improving the beauty quality of Isfahan," he added.
