Cultural exchange between Iran, Britain

Educational workshop of "Cultural exchange between Iran and Britain in the ceramic art" was held by Hermes Art Gallery and Cultural Heritage, Handicraft and Tourism Organization of Isfahan province on Wednesday, January 19th.

Iran (IMNA) - "This workshop was held with the cooperation of Isfahan's Cultural Heritage, Handicraft and Tourism Organization, and Ms. Jilian Echlin attended the event as well", Mohammad Ali Farahnejad said about the educational workshop of "Cultural exchange between Iran and Britain in the ceramic art ".

"The aim of holding this program is to revive, promote and synchronize Isfahan-centered art of pottery and ceramic in Iran, as well as job creation and entrepreneurship in this industry, using artistic experiences of potters from other nations", Hermes Art Gallery manager continued.

"During this workshop, it is possible to get the participators familiarized with new dimensions of ceramic art and the way to make unrepeatable products with the least facilities. Also, we have planned to help attendee  to recognize the function and application of ceramic art in developed and modern nations", he added.

"Atmospheric and low pressure firing, Saggar, Horsehair Raku techniques and ceramic firing will be taught in native American manner and the pottery art capacities of Iran and Britain in the past, and the impacts of communication and cultural and Artistic exchanges in historical contexts will be introduced as well", Hermes Art Gallery manager said.
