Absence of women in stadiums not basically related to women

"Although the issue of Iranian women's presence in sports stadiums may not be considered as a big deal for some women in the society, but the vice presidency for women and family affairs has given priorities to addressing the general issues of women and families and attending the special issues of even a minority of women within the framework of law," Athare Nejadi, the deputy for programming and coordination of the department for women and family affairs said.

Isfahan (IMNA) - Emphasizing that issues affecting women are multi-sectoral, Nejadi said, "The vice presidency for women and family affairs cannot solve the women and families' issues alone; different organizations should be involve to investigate the problems."

Pointing out that the absence of women in stadiums is not basically related to women, she added, " the lack of enough space, infrastructures, and the cultural behaviors are the problem. We have had the same experience for cinemas; this issue is not such kind of problems that cannot be resolved, but it only needs collective efforts."

"The first and last program of the vice presidency for women and family affairs regarding women is not only their presence in the stadiums, but, we are trying to choose the right paths regarding this issue along with other plans as well," she continued.
