Isfahan (IMNA) - "The amount of produced waste of Isfahan varies in different days; on average, Isfahani citizens produce about 1000 to 1200 tons waste daily, that is recycled as much as possible, and the rest is buried," the CEO of waste management organization of Isfahan municipality said.

Isfahan (IMNA) - "Burring the non-biodegradable waste, which remains in nature for many years, threatens the environment. Therefore, the professional experts of waste management organization try to bury the waste by using a sanitary land filling, in this regard, clay is used to cover the burial site and make it impenetrable," Ali Dehnavi continued.

Pointing to the advantages of source separation of waste, he said, "This method would result in reducing the use of the natural sources, job creation, and the economic growth in the city, in this regard, comprehensive educational plan, executing the rules and the necessary infrastructures are necessary; citizen's cooperation and assistance are also required regarding this issue."

Urban waste management, especially in large cities, needs regular planning based on the sanitary regulations. Citizens, supervisors, planners, and the officials of the city should try to improve the quality of collecting and burying the urban waste in order to have a healthy environment without any pollution.
