Isfahan hero of children's world

Will Parks, The UNICEF (United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund) representative in Iran and the head of the international center of child-friendly city attend a meeting with the presence of the mayor of Isfahan.

Isfahan (IMNA) – Pointing to launching the Right House in Isfahan, the mayor of Isfahan said, "Strengthening the children's rights will change the society's attitude toward them. Isfahan is completely ready in every ways to implement the motto of "Child-friendly city" in the practice of urban planning and related infrastructures."

"One of the measures that has been taken so far is concluding the agreement with the Human Right Department of the Justice Ministry to protect the rights of citizenship that a part of it is related to the protection of children," Nowrouzi continued.

Saying that Isfahan has some necessary parameters to be a child-friendly city, the UNICEF representative said, "Isfahan has hosted various conferences and different international festivals like the 31st International Film Festival for Children and Youth. This city has some characteristics that will change Isfahan to a child-friendly city."

Parks described Isfahan as the hero of children and youth's world and said, "It is my honor to talk with the hero of the children's world in this meeting. Of course, Isfahan has been very lucky to take this mayor, considering his expertness and commitment."

Pointing that Isfahan has 2.5 million population, and the population of the whole province is 5 million, he emphasized, "All Isfahani citizens should be child-friendly; we enjoy the international experiences of 190 countries in which UNICEF is active, and we can also transfer these experiences to Iran."
