Wheels of textile industry slowed down in Isfahan

Launching the biggest textile factories of the country in Isfahan, has made this province to be one of the big textile hubs since many years ago, but unfortunately, mismanagement, the lack of necessary technology infrastructures, and high level of imports have slowed down the wheels of this industry.

Isfahan (IMNA) - Now, a large number of the factories and textile workshops in Isfahan province are closed, and some of them are active with low production capacity. Confirming the bankruptcy of Vatan factory and changing its usage to sleeping products manufacture, the chairman of the Weavers' Association of the textile workshops said, "Isfahan textile factories are not in good condition due to the high level of imports, domestic raw materials shortage and old-fashioned machines. Unfortunately, Vatan textile factory with its long history has stopped production.

Considering the imports of the textile products from other countries as the biggest problem, Morteza Mansouri said, "high level of imports in textile industry have good benefits for them, because they will earn huge profits without paying taxes, wages, and insurance; Achieving this profit  at the price of the domestic factories closure and subsequent unemployment of thousand workers! "Despite the advanced production system of this factory, it was preferred to close it due to the worn-out equipment, the lack of suitable revenues, and having various problems in production processes," he continued.
