Isfahan (IMNA) - The real story behind this holly feast is that the prophet Abraham was ordered by god to sacrifice his adult son Ismail. As Abraham prepared to cut Ismael's head off, Satan appeared to Abraham and tried to deter him from cutting the head, but Abraham threw stones to drive Satan back.
Finlly, as he was to sacrifice Ismael God sent the angel Jibra'il to stop him and instead bring him a ram to scarify. Allah was so pleased with Abraham’s submission to Him because he showed his faith in the fullest sense. Muslims slaughter domestic animals like sheep lamb, sheep, goat or a camel to honor the submission of Abraham and distribute the meat to the poor as a sense of generosity.
