First breast cancer specialized clinic to launch in Isfahan

The first breast cancer specialized clinic will be launched in Shahrak-e Salamat (the town of health) of Isfahan in the next week.

Isfahan (IMNA) – Stating that the growing trend of breast cancer patients requires special attention to treatment acceleration program, Maryam Tabatabaeian, the founder of the first specialized clinic of breast cancer in Isfahan said, "Establishing a medical center that provides all required services to the patients has placed in the agenda."

"The other purpose of launching this center is reducing the treatment costs of cancer patients," she said. Stating that specialized clinic of breast cancer of Isfahan provides all the stages of treatment like screening, radiology, and ultrasound, Tabatabaeian added, "Genetic counselors are also present in the clinic to provide additional services to the high-risk people."

Saying that mammography services will be launched in the specialized clinic of breast cancer during this August, she continued, "The specialized polyclinic is also active in the evening shifts in which the latest treatment methods are being investigated by the presence of specialists." Stating that the prevention of inflammation and side effects of the surgeries is one of the priorities of this center, Tabatabaeian added, "Holding training courses regarding the required diet and corrective exercises for breast cancer patients is among these services."

She considered the counseling sessions for the children of affected mothers with breast cancer as another defined service in the specialized clinic of breast cancer of Isfahan, and said," The children of these patients are afraid of their mother's illness and they also show sleep disorders. By holding counseling sessions, we will prepare an understandable atmosphere for them to cope with the situation their mothers' disease."
