Rare birds to multiple in Isfahan Bird Garden

"500 unique bird species have multiplied in the bird garden during the last months," the head of Najvan development project said.

Isfahan (IMNA) - "More than 500 unique birds like white eared pheasant, horned pheasant, Mandarina duck, black swan, Aleutian pheasant, Java peacock, bride goose, have multiplied in multiplication season," Hossein Shafiee said. "The main goal of the managers of the Bird Garden is preserving and multiplying the rare birds which may be forgotten if they don’t multiply," he added.

Stating that these birds have been multiplied from 13 unique species, the head of Najwan development project of Isfahan continued, "Currently, more than 130 different species are kept in the bird garden of Isfahan." The bird garden of Isfahan with an area of 55,000 square meters was built in Najvan forest park in 1996. Currently, it is the habitat of birds like peacocks (Indian, Egyptian, African, White, multicolor, and Java), pheasants, and all kinds of chickens (Brahma Emperor, Miniature, Abyssinian, and polish.)
