Buried historical figures in Takht-e Foulad to introduce during Quran exhibition

“This year, Takht-e Foulad complex and the buried famous figures will be presented differently in the international Quran and Etrat exhibition,” the manager of the historical, cultural, and religious complex said.

Isfahan (IMNA) - “The holy land of Takht-e Foulad has always been the sanctuary for divine lovers. Therefore, introducing famous figures and Quran servants buried in this place will be done in Quran exhibition which is currently underway in Isfahan Province International Exhibition located in Pol-e Shahrestan from May 26 to June 1,” Seyed Ali Moareknejad said. “The 15th international Quran and Etrat exhibition, as the largest Quranic event of the province, is prepared to be visited by the enthusiasts from 4 pm to 10 pm,” he said.
 

“Besides the special program of Laylat-al- Ghadr (also known as Shab-e-Ghadr), new and innovative events such as Ta’Ziyeh Khani are going to be held on the occasion of Martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali,” he continued.  Ta’Ziyeh Khani is a Muslim ritual that reenacts the death of Hossein, the Prophet Muhammad's grandson, and his male children and companions.
 

“Takht-e Foulad is one of the hidden tourist attraction of Isfahan, where more than 850 Faqihs and clergymen, 120 preachers and orators, 55 writers and journalists, 120 artists, 75 scientists in the fields of astronomy and mathematics, 20 intellectuals and philosophers, 230 poets and other special and famous people who were nationally and internationally well-known, were buried here,” Moareknejad said.
 

Stating that Takht-e Foulad of Isfahan, known as Wadi-al-Eslam-Sani, is one of the most important cemetries of the Shi’a world, he noted: "the art works of Takht-e Foulad, as well as the mausoleums such as Khansari mausoleum with the architectural masterpiece of the Safavid era, Baba Roknoldin mausoleum made of the masterpiece of Safavid era, Mir Fendereski mausoleum and other valuable collections, have turned Takht-e Foulad to an open-air museum.
