Isfahan Tops List of Iran's Best Museums

"In the ceremony of selecting top museums of the country, seven museums of Isfahan province topped the list of best museums at both private and governmental sections," the director general of Museums and Immovable Property of the Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts, and Tourism Department of Isfahan Province said.

Isfahan (IMNA) - As said by Saghar Hamidi, seven museums of Isfahan were ranked as Iran's top museums in the eleventh ceremony of selecting top museums which was held simultaneously with the commemoration week of Cultural Heritage by the National Committee of Iran’s Museum's (ICUM) at Tehran's House of Artists.

"The judgments were based on 12 standard criteria; in the top private museums section, six museums of Isfahan including Dolls and Toys Museum of Kashan on children and adolescence criteria, Music Museum on visitors criteria, Fuladshahr’s Pabde Museum on preservation and maintenance criteria, Shahinshahr’s History and Anthropology Museum on trying to survive criteria, Rahgoshaye Badrod Museum on introducing criteria, Cluck Museum of Natanz on collection criteria and Asar Khane Shahi Museum of Isfahan on introducing criteria and in the small governmental museums section were ranked as Iran's top museums." she added.

“On the occasion of World Museum Day and Cultural Heritage Week, "Nafiseh Gohari", the curator of Chehelsoton museum of Isfahan, was selected as the best curator by Cultural Heritage Organization and Museums organization of the Country", the director general of Museums and Immovable Property of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts, and Tourism Department of the province said.
