Iran's Female Athletes Snatch Gold Medal in Asian Airgun Championships

Iranian women shooting squad snatched a gold medal in the 10th Asian Airgun Championships which is underway in Japan.

The Iranian team consisting of Fatemeh Qodratollahi with 386, Hanieh Rostamian with 383 and Shirin Mortazavi with 375 points ranked first in Asia.

India and South Korea stood second and third respectively.

The 10th Asian Airgun Championships is underway with the attendance of 407 athletes from 27 Asian countries.

The event started in men and women sections on Dec 8 in Wako City.

Shooting sports is a collective group of competitive and recreational sporting activities involving proficiency tests of accuracy, precision and speed in using various types of ranged weapons, mainly referring to man-portable guns (firearms and airguns, in forms such as handguns, rifles and shotguns) and bows/crossbows.
