Mohsen Mehralizadeh appointed as Isfahan Governor General

Spokesman of the interior ministry stated: Akbar Behnamjoo was appointed as the Governor of Ardebil province, and Mohsen Mehralizadeh to Isfahan Province. Mohammad Eslami and Mahmood Zamani-Ghomi were also elected as governors of Mazandaran and Yazd provinces respectively.

IMNA reports from the Information Centre of Iranian Interior Ministry: today, the meeting of the Council of Ministers resulted in selecting the other 4 governors, indicating that 21 provinces of the country have had new governors since the beginning of Rouhani’s second tenure.

It is worth to note that Isfahan’s new Governor General, Mohsen Mehralizadeh, was born in 1956. He holds a B.A. in mechanical engineering from Tabriz State University, and received his M.A. from the same university at the same major. He has PhD in two majors of financial management from Tehran University and engineering economics from Tilburg University.

- Founding member of World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) in 2003
