Iran, Russia universities ink cooperation agreement

Tehran University and Lomonosov Moscow State University inked a cooperation agreement to broaden bilateral ties.

In the meantime, visiting President of University of Tehran Mahmoud Nili Ahmadabadi and President of Lomonosov Moscow State University Viktor Sadovnichiy in a meeting on Friday discussed issues of mutual interest, including the next three years' roadmap for cooperation.

They also discussed the issues proposed in the third joint meeting between the presidents of two countries' top universities and talked preparations for holding the fourth meeting which is expected to be held in Tehran.

The third joint meeting of top Iranian and Russian universities was held in the Russian capital on October 27. Meetings between Iranian and Russian universities can help promotion of two countries' scientific and educational cooperation in various fields.

The first meeting between Tehran University and Lomonosov Moscow State University was held on October 28, 2015 and presidents of 19 Russian universities and 10 Iranian universities attended the event. 13 Iranian and 18 Russian university presidents attended the second edition in 2016.
