As IMNA reports, Imam Ali project was designed in 3 phases, aimed at reviving the historical texture of the city. The first two phases were completed last year and the 3rd phase is currently undergoing its operational executions.
This urban megaproject is among the few unique projects whose full exploitation will wholly transform the heart of the city.
The project manager, Mehdi Rezaei, agreed to an interview with IMNA reporter to elaborate on the project implementation.
How many phases are planned for the executive operations?
Imam Ali Square is surrounded with 54 historical structures which have attracted numerous tourists to itself. Implementation of this urban project encompasses 3 phases whose executive operations of the 1st and 2nd phases have already been completed.
The executive operations of the 3rd phase was carried out in 2015 in cooperation with private sections. The project is supported by an amount of $5 million from the municipality side and $10 million from the side of private sections.
What projects are involved in the 3rd phase?
The 3rd phase consists of 12 projects, 11 projects of which are operated by Isfahan municipality, and the other one is done in cooperation with private sections.
The museum of Imam Ali is another megaproject of the 3rd phase located to the south of the Jameh Mosque. The restoration works have developed 42% until the present day, and is planned to be fully available by the end of the ongoing year.
Discovered objects found while executing the construction operations in the area of Imam Ali Square will be on display in the museum after the full construction.
