Ammar Int’l Popular Film Festival sets a deadline of Nov. 11

The secretariat for Ammar International Popular Film Festival (AIPFF) released a public announcement on its 8th edition. The festival is arranged in 5 sections on different subjects.

IMNA News Agency reports: the AIPFF’s secretariat publicized 7 various topics for the festival naming: “Contemporary History of Iran”, “Iranian 2009 Riot”, “Islamic and Global Awakening”, “Introspective Critique”, “Soft War”, “Resistance Economy”, and ”Heroic Nation”.

Applicants should meet the November 11th deadline to register their works on the site AmmarFilm.ir and afterwards send them to the festival’s secretariat. The works are supposed to be included in sections of film, film review, essay and cinema research, radio broadcasts, our film, as well as advertisements.  

The section of Popular Gifts, which was introduced in the last edition of the festival, is considered as an independent section in the current round. The public can send their gifts to the festival’s secretariat to be handed to the filmmakers.

The 8th AIPFF starts work from December 29th to January 7th, 2017 in Felestin Cinema, Tehran. Other cities and villages are planned to run the public screenings from November 2017 to October 2018.
