'Mohal' Photo montages on display in Isfahan's Safavi House

An exhibition of Photomontage artworks of Amirali Darvish-Zargar was yesterday opened in historical Savai House of Isfahan.

IMNA quotes Darvish-Zargar on 'Mohal' (meaning impossible), the title of the exhibition: "I often present my photomontages merged with criticism. These criticisms are in fact impossible, because you may be shown a combination of historical and superman artwork, which is truly impossible. Most of my works follow the same direction".

He added: the photomontage technique is basically formed by ideas. "My goal is to involve visitors' thoughts via watching the photos and ask themselves 'does this really exist?'' he explained.

He then continued: people tend to think of various subjects. He clarified: "their perspectives differ when it comes to give my works deep thoughts", "they even have different viewpoints from those of the artworks creators".

Born in 1994 in Isfahan, Amirali Darvish-Zargar graduated in architecture from Isfahan's Khorasgan University. The ongoing exhibition is his first experience of displaying his photo montages works.

The exhibition was inaugurated yesterday on Friday, September 15th. Enthusiasts can join the event at Safavi House on Khaghani Street daily from 10:00 to 1:00 in the mornings and from 5:00 to 11:00 in the afternoons.

September 27th will be the closing day of the exhibition.
