Bulgaria looking for developing tourism cooperation with Iran

Deputy Minister of Tourism of the Republic of Bulgaria Irena Georgieva stressed on promoting cooperation with Iran in tourism field, IRNA reported.

Georgieva made the remarks Friday in a meeting with Iranian cultural attaché Mohammad Ali Kiani.

She expressed Bulgaria's tendency to have close relations with Iranian tourism officials and companies as well. 

Georgieva also extended readiness to sign cooperation document between Iran and Bulgaria. 

She went on to say that about 18,569 Iranian tourists visited Bulgaria during the first seven months of 2017 which show 10.5 percent rise compared with the same period last year. 

Meanwhile, Kiani referred to promotion in tourism relations between Iranian and Bulgarian companies and also foreign tourists travel to Iran in post-sanction era.
