Iran, Austria to boot banking cooperation

Iran and Austria have finalized an agreement to establish banking cooperation in financing field, Governor of the Austrian OberBank (OeKB) said.

Based on the agreement, grounds will be prepared for granting loans with OeKB (Oesterreichische Kontrollbank AG) coverage, Franz Gasselsberger said.

The finances will be mostly used for funding infrastructural, factory building, photovoltaics and health projects, said Gasselsberger who has recently visited Iran heading a baking delegation.

During his visit, he evaluated Iran-Austria banking relations as good, saying that Austria has now banking relations with many Iranian banks.
