After voicing his thanks to Isfahan Governor, Provincial Governor, and the newly elected mayor for their presence, Fathollah Moein addressed them: we hope to be guaranteed by you and the people’s blessing, IMNA quoted him at the first plenary meeting of the 5th City Council in Isfahan.
The Head of Isfahan City Council then congratulated Iran’s Government Week to the Provincial Governor and his deputy delegation, adding: the body of government grants numerous services in the provinces.
Fathollah Moein referred to both Imam Khomeini and the Supreme Leader’s remarks about shouldering everybody’s responsibilities on their own according to what is believed in Islam. Consequently, they can better organize their affairs to put them into action.
He added: Councils are counted as necessities of the Islamic Revolution. They should be taken serious enough to fulfil the divine and revolutionary goals that are considered for councils in the Constitution of Iran, so as to strengthen the Islamic Revolution in the country.
He once again reminded the Iran’s Leader remarks as believing that City Councils are the base of the Islamic Revolution.
He then pointed to chapter 7 of the Constitution and marked the 100th article relevant to the councils which highlights the responsibility of the councils on advancing various programs of economic, social, cultural and other rural, urban events. The councilors are elected by the people, and that is why councils are defined as public’s involvement in the sovereignty, he explained based on the Constitution.
“Earlier we all pledged our loyalty at the swearing-in ceremony to deploy the Quran’s teachings and words of the Supreme leader in order to fortify the Islamic Revolution columns”, “ We will make the greatest ever efforts over this path”, he declared sincerely.
