Northern entrance of mythological Isfahan revived

Mayor of Isfahan declared: “Since the beginning days of my mayoralty in Isfahan, I promised to look at Isfahan through its antiquity and mythology, and revive the city entrances and ancient walls”, “and fortunately the city entrances were for the first time in the country organized and revived.”

Isfahan mayor, Mehdi Jamalinejad, was quoted by IMNA on the sidelines of the inauguration of the Isteqlal bridges and square: this megaproject consists of eight bridges whose 6th bridge was implemented in Isfahan deploying a special technology.

He then expressed details about the Isteqlal megaproject: being a main concern for the urban and provincial managers, the project was at first considered in a hard situation to pass all the installation from beneath the square. But it was completed during a year and a half through the efforts of different organs.

Veteran designers had organized 11 entrances of the city among which 4 of them were put high on the agenda, said the mayor.

Pointing to the technical features of the Isteqlal megaproject, Jamalinejad stated: executive operations of the project lasted for two years from August 2015 to August 2017.

The mayor ensured citizens that the entrances were organized based on the decisions by Renovation Organization as well as Isfahan’s climate, history and architecture.

The entrance was named ‘Science and Technology Entrance’ due to the existence of Isfahan Science and Research Town in the area, Jamalinejad publicized.

Finally at the interview while being asked about the mayoralty suggestions from other cities, he replied: I have the suggestion from Ahwaz, Rasht, Yazd, and Hamedan, so I have scheduled to pay visits to the mentioned cities in a few days.
