Iran Qualifies for 2018 Volleyball World Championship

The Iranian national volleyball team defeated Kazakhstan to book a place at the 2018 FIVB Men’s World Championships.

Team Melli overpowered Kazakhstan in straight sets (25-18, 25-17, 25-16) at the 6,000-seater Rezazadeh Stadium.

China also defeated South Korea 3-0 and advanced to the FIVB Men’s World Championships as the Pool A’s second-placed team.

Japan and Australia have already secured their places to the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship in Pool B.

The FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship qualification has brought five teams, namely Iran, South Korea, China, Qatar and Kazakhstan together.

Hosts Italy and Bulgaria and defending champion Poland have automatically qualified for the next year’s World Championship.

 France, the Netherlands, Slovenia, Russia, Serbia, Finland, and Belgium from Europe plus Japan, Australia, China and Iran from Asia have also booked their tickets through continental qualifiers.
