Municipality, 3 universities ink contracts of environmental research projects

A summit was held on exchanging contracts of environmental research projects between the municipality of Isfahan and three universities naming the University of Isfahan, Isfahan University of Technology, and Isfahan University of Art.

As IMNA quotes from the Deputy Head of programming, research and technology organization of Isfahan municipality while speaking at the meeting: referring to the point that Isfahan is among the primary provinces in research realms, qualified projects on resolving provincial environmental problems have been proposed and implemented. 

The deputy head, Mahmoud Mohammadi, announced: some projects have been exploited so far, and several other ones will be performed by next two months.  

Expressing his grateful thanks to different sectors of the municipality deputy bureaus, Mahmoud Mohammadi confirmed: deputy of transportation & traffic, as well as the deputy of urban management have done meritorious jobs on the related area.  

"Over 50 university theses have been proposed on the issue", emphasized Mohammadi.

Further in his speech, Mohammadi introduced environmental problems as a crucial issue, and added: several great research projects are now proposed at a budget of 1.5 billion tomans (about 2 million USD dollars) which are on the agenda to be implemented.

Projects of finding the origins and contribution of the air suspended particles, and prioritizing their productive sources in the city are going to be performed in collaboration with Isfahan University of Technology, he later mentioned.  

Concerning the project of studying regulations for sustainable projects and climate constructions, Mohammadi declared that this special project is under implementation in cooperation with Isfahan University of Art.  

"We hope these research projects will cause a rise in the quality services and a decrease in pollutant sources in the city of Isfahan", he closed his speech.
