As IMNA reports, BRTs have miscellaneous advantages including: reducing air pollution, lessening passengers’ wait times, giving precise information to passengers at the stations, setting regular intervals between bus runs, gaining tickets before entering the bus, and eliminating the bus-driver direct interaction.
Improving BRT lines are high on the agenda of urban management. First BRT line and first phase of line 3 BRT have been set up so far, the former is from the town of Abrisham to Baghooshkhaneh terminal, and the latter is from Arghavnieh terminal to Imam Ali Square. He also added: the second line will be established in 4 km form Qods Sq. to Jomhouri Sq.
Ali Malekzaadeh the project manager stated in this regard: running BRT lines are in the municipality’s main priority aimed at cutting down the traffic congestion as well as reducing the air pollution in the city of Isfahan.
“BRT lines will best affect the growth of public transportation”, he emphasized.
