My childhood nostalgia revives: Isfahan mayor

Today at this nostalgic ceremony, all my childhood memories were alive again, Isfahan mayor made the remarks at the tribute of Marzieh Mahboub.

IMNA quotes from Isfahan mayor, Mehdi Jamali Nejad: I do appreciate Ms. Marzieh Mahboub, our provincial citizen from Kashan, for reviving all our past memories once again”.

He then wished the young generation to be future puppet-makers as powerful as Ms. Mahboub by using their creative minds.

Jamali Nejad claimed: this is the first time that tributes are held for artists, the first of which is this one for Ms. Mahboub.

The mayor then expressed that Marzieh Mahboub is one of the outstanding puppet-makers in the country who has been forgotten like many other Iranian artists. “We have managed to hold this ceremony to compensate for maybe a little of her devotion to the children’s world”, Jamali Nejad explained.

He then announced that the commemorations of late Ali Moallem and Abbas Kiarostami, as well as the tribute of Rasoul Sadrameli are scheduled to be held in the festival compact week.
