According to IMNA News, the Minister of Sports along with the youth and some other members of the ministry delegation were present at the inauguration ceremony.
This modern stadium is among the most standard ones throughout the country, having a capacity of 75000 people, and is 29 hectares in all. It has 4 entrance gates for athletes but spectators’ entrances are constructed separately.
Construction of Naghsh-e-Jahan Stadium began in 1992, then was halted from 2003 until 2012. Afterwards, with the help of Isfahan Foolad-Mobarake Company, the stadium has been exploited since 2013 during 20 months.
First vice president of Iran inaugurated the stadium on his trip to Isfahan which has been said to be the greatest athletic project in the country since the Islamic revolution.
