Iran craft is outstanding/Appreciation Isfahan Municipality on supporting crafts

President of World Crafts Council (WCC) Wang Shan said on Sunday that handicrafts play very important role in international relations and common understanding of nations and strengthening cultural and economic cooperation in the global community.

According to IMNA NEWS Agency, regarding the selection of Isfahan as a host for 18th World Council of crafts Vang Shawn added at that meeting, all members of the board of directors and regional Heads of the World Council of crafts were present and Iran's representative presented a speech through which Isfahan was raised as the host for the 18th meeting.
In the end, the Head of World Council Crafts explained that in the future, more people will be attracted to the crafts because handicrafts are significant globally and spiritually.

The 18th general assembly is held in the city of Isfahan.

Founded in 1964, the WCC is a non-profit, non-governmental organization, which aims at strengthening protective measures for craftspeople and getting their products into fresh markets. It also emphasizes the need to maintain inherited traditions yet setting eyes on subtle use of modern technologies.

Shan made the remarks at the 18th World Crafts Council meeting in Isfahan.

He said that creating healthy regional and global competition is so important for promotion and progress of handicrafts industry.
Shan said that Isfahan is a symbol of world cultural history with more than one thousand years record as the pillar of the Silk Road trade activities between the East and West and transfer of cultures which contributed to the civilization of the international community.
