During the brutal acts of aggression by the United States and Israel against the territory of our country, numerous historical and cultural landmarks—including the revered Takht-e-Foulad historical complex in Isfahan—have suffered direct damage. This site, which stands as one of the most significant cemeteries and historical ensembles in the Islamic world, has long been a symbol of Iran's deep-rooted civilization, Islamic identity, and national memory.

Iran (IMNA)- The recent military strikes, which targeted civilian infrastructure and cultural heritage in clear violation of international law and UNESCO conventions, have inflicted physical harm on several centuries-old mausoleums, tombstones, and architectural elements within the complex. Takht-e-Foulad, often referred to as the "Cemetery of Martyrs and Scholars," houses the graves of numerous Iranian scientists, mystics, and, most notably, hundreds of martyrs from the Sacred Defense (the Iran–Iraq War). The targeting of such a site reveals the true nature of the enemy: not only opposing the Islamic Republic but also attacking the very foundations of Iranian culture, history, and collective identity.

In response to these acts of cultural terrorism, Iran’s cultural heritage authorities and local institutions in Isfahan have launched rapid assessment and restoration teams to document the damage and prevent further deterioration. While the physical scars on this historical treasure are painful, the Iranian nation views them as yet another chapter in the long history of standing resilient against foreign aggression. Rather than weakening national resolve, such attacks have reinforced Iran’s determination to preserve its heritage, honor its martyrs, and rebuild what the enemies of humanity have sought to destroy.
