"At the meeting of the member states's mayors of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization which was held in the city of Chongqing, China, the revival of international transaction among the cities or countries along the Silk Road, the ancient commercial and cultural communication network between the West and the East, was investigated," the mayor of Isfahan said.
Iran (IMNA) - Referring to his attendance at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit, Ghodratollah Noroozi said, "the participants were leaders from Asian countries including China , Russia, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, Belarus, Mongolia and Iran. We all gathered in the city of Chongqing to strengthen the international economic cooperation for further regional development."
"At the meeting of mayors, I announce the readiness of Isfahan to advance dialogues and cooperation in economy and urban management fields with the SCO members," he added.
He noted that before participating the summit, Isfahan's delegation held several meetings with one of the international tram companies. The mayor decided to continue the negotiations in Isfahan in order to reach the desired results.
"Good negotiations on various issues especially about tourism industry were conducted with the Iranian ambassador in Beijing and the authorities of the consulate in Guangzhou. I hope the conditions for Chinese trips to Isfahan will be provided in a better manner," the mayor of Isfahan said.
