The Iran–Iraq war was a prolonged brutal military conflict between Iran and Iraq that begun on 22 September 1980 and lasted for 8 years; the war ended on 20 August 1988 following a cease-fire.
Iran (IMNA) - The air and land battle that was accompanied with missile and chemical weapons attacks, finally terminated with an estimated 230 thousand Iranian soldiers and civilians martyrs.
However, martyrs were not the only victims of the unequal war. Disabled Iranian veterans (mentally and physically) sacrificed their lives to hold Iran's flag high in the world stages. Their sense of exemplary bravery is praiseworthy and exceptional.
With our hearts filled with gratitude, we thank all brave men who risk their lives for the pride of the country, so that we could have a safer life in our country.
