We live in a time when the benefits and drawbacks of the Social Media are considered as a key platform for public debate; in the midst of it all, a global group has been formed through Facebook that brings the photography enthusiasts together in order to display different photos from various parts of the world. And now, freelance photographers have stepped beyond the virtual world and demonstrated photos that reveal the reality in the world.
Iran (IMNA) – "Freelance photographers group was set up and developed in 2013, with the purpose of promoting the art of photography; the group with more than 41,000 members from all around the world is now active in the cyberspace," Alireza Naseri said.
"The best photos through the eyes of jurors and viewers are selected every day. Various competitions in different genres are held every month, and awards have been supposed to be given to the best photo holder," he added.
"For the first time, prominent members of this group decided to transfer their virtual activity to the real world. In the first place, they held exhibitions with a free genre in Tehran, and then in other cities like Hamedan, Birjand and Qaen; This time was Isfahan's turn," he continued.
The exhibition of freelance photographers has been held with the cooperation of Isfahan's Media Cultural Center, and will host art enthusiasts at Gallery 3 of Isfahan's Central Library, till February 28, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
