Iran warns Trump against adventurism in Strait of Hormuz

Iran’s Judiciary Chief Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Eje’i has warned U.S. President Donald Trump against any “adventurism” in the Strait of Hormuz, stressing that the strategic waterway is an “inseparable part” of Iran’s territorial waters.

Iran (IMNA) - Mohseni-Eje’i said any adventurism in the waterway would be met with a decisive response, while rejecting recent claims made by Trump regarding the Strait of Hormuz.

In a social media post, the judiciary chief dismissed Trump’s remarks as baseless and said Iran is the rightful owner of the strategic waterway under international law and the principles of national sovereignty.

“Trump is a full-fledged loser in the hard arena of politics and military combat,” Mohseni-Eje’i wrote, adding that what consoles the U.S. president’s “troubled mind” is “these virtual antics and nonsense.”

He warned Trump and his advisers that “the boot of arrogance will never touch the Strait of Hormuz,” stressing that “what multi-billion-dollar aircraft carriers could not achieve will not be achieved with a few tweets and speeches.”
