Iran (IMNA) - In a post on his X account late Thursday, Ghalibaf condemned what he called a pattern of U.S. crimes, saying, "The United States stains its hands with a new crime every day. The terrorist attack on civilian homes on Qeshm Island is a continuation of its crimes in Minab and Lamerd."
He added that the United States had become accustomed to "making up for the blows it suffers on the battlefield by spilling the blood of innocent people," warning that "they will pay the price."
Earlier on Thursday, the United States launched missile strikes on several locations in southern Iran, including Qeshm Island and areas in Bushehr, Fars, and Khuzestan provinces.
According to reports, the deadliest strike targeted a residential house in the Chah Tangu neighborhood of Qeshm, where three members of a family—a father, a mother, and one of their children—were killed. Two other children from the family were injured and transferred to hospital for treatment.
