Qalibaf Condemns US for ‘Major Violations’ of Iran-US Memorandum of Understanding

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf has accused the United States of committing major violations of the Iran-US memorandum of understanding (MoU), saying Washington’s actions will not weaken Iran’s determination.

Iran (IMNA) - In a post published on X on Tuesday night, Qalibaf listed what he described as four major US violations of the MoU, including issues related to the Strait of Hormuz, the reinstatement of oil sanctions, attacks on southern Iran, and continued Israeli military aggression in Lebanon.

“Major MoU violations by the US: [1.] Violating Iranian adjustments in the Strait, [2.] Reinstating oil sanctions, [3.] Attacks on southern Iran, [4.] Continued Zionist aggression on Lebanon,” the Iranian parliament speaker wrote.

Qalibaf also said the United States’ alleged violations would fail to undermine Iran’s resolve, adding, “The era of bullying and extortion is over. It leads nowhere. We don’t fold.”
