Millions Join Funeral Procession as Tehran Holds Final Farewell for Leader

Millions of Iranians filled the streets of Tehran on Monday as the funeral procession for the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, got underway, marking the final stage of several days of national mourning.

Iran (IMNA) - Large crowds began gathering before dawn along the designated procession route, which stretched from Damavand Street and Imam Hossein Square through Enghelab and Azadi Streets to Azadi Square and the Shahid Lashkari Highway. The procession witnessed a massive turnout, with millions taking part in the final farewell.

Monday's funeral procession concludes a series of commemorative events held in the capital. The ceremonies began on Friday with foreign dignitaries paying their respects, followed by two days of public mourning at the Grand Mosalla in Tehran. On Sunday, mourners attended the funeral prayer before the final procession commenced on Monday.
