Iran (IMNA) - Speaking at a gathering of senior government officials and provincial governors in Tehran on Monday, Pezeshkian thanked members of the negotiating team, including Ghalibaf and Araghchi, for their role in the talks that resulted in a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the United States aimed at ending the war against Iran.
“This achievement has been the result of exemplary unity, empathy, and coordination between the three branches of government and the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the full implementation of the agreements,” the president said.
Pezeshkian stated that if the other side honors its commitments, the MoU could help resolve many of the region’s challenges and create new conditions in the international arena.
“The Zionist regime’s concern and anger over this process is a clear sign of the success and victory of the Iranian nation,” he said, adding that “by God’s grace, this path will continue with authority.”
The president also emphasized that the delegation tasked with signing the agreement would strictly adhere to the frameworks and policies determined by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution.
“The negotiating team that will be dispatched to sign the deal will not deviate from the frameworks and policies determined by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution by any means,” Pezeshkian said. “All measures will be taken within the framework of national interests and the red lines drawn by the Islamic Establishment.”
