Iran (IMNA) - In a statement released Monday night, the Pakistani government said the official signing ceremony for the deal will take place in Switzerland on Friday. Prior to the signing, technical delegations from Iran and the United States are expected to hold discussions on the provisions of the agreement.
According to the statement, both sides have agreed to the immediate and permanent cessation of military operations on all fronts, including in Lebanon.
Sharif also praised the mediation efforts of Qatar and acknowledged the contributions of Saudi Arabia and Türkiye in facilitating the agreement.
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump claimed on Truth Social that “The Deal with the Islamic Republic of Iran is now complete.”
However, Iranian officials had not confirmed the reports by the time of publication.
In his statement, Sharif said that following intensive talks, a peace deal between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran had been reached. He stated that both sides had declared the immediate and permanent termination of military operations on all fronts, including in Lebanon.
He added that the official signing ceremony would be held on June 19 in Switzerland and thanked both countries for their commitment to pursuing a diplomatic solution to the conflict.
Sharif also expressed appreciation to Qatar’s leadership for its role in the mediation effort and extended special thanks to the leaderships of Saudi Arabia and Türkiye for what he described as their significant contributions to the process.
He further noted that, with the agreement now in place, mediators would facilitate a series of meetings throughout the week, with pre-implementation discussions intended to lay the groundwork for technical talks and the official signing ceremony.
