US Missile Strikes Destroy Strategic Water Tanks in Southern Iran, Disrupting Supply to Several Villages

U.S. missile strikes destroyed two strategic water tanks in Sirik county in southern Iran early Wednesday, disrupting drinking water supplies to several villages.

Iran (IMNA) – Abdolhamid Hamzehpour, managing director of the Hormozgan Province Water and Wastewater Company, said the “terrorist missile attack by American forces” occurred hours before dawn and targeted critical water distribution infrastructure.

According to Hamzehpour, a 500-cubic-metre water tank and a 2,000-cubic-metre tank, both of which played a key role in supplying drinking water to the Bemani district and Kuhestak, were completely destroyed in the attack.

He said water distribution to all villages in Bemani and the town of Kuhestak has been halted as a result of the strikes.

Hamzehpour added that operational and crisis management teams are working to implement alternative measures to ensure a stable water supply for affected residents.
