Tehran Has No Intention of Conflict With Regional Countries

Iran’s president stressed that the Islamic Republic has no intention of engaging in conflict with regional countries, emphasizing that only bases used to launch attacks against Iran will be targeted under the right of self-defense.

Iran (IMNA) _ Masoud Pezeshkian, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of Pakistan, discussed the latest regional developments and bilateral relations during a phone conversation.

At the beginning of the call, Pezeshkian congratulated the government and faithful Muslim people of Pakistan on the holy month of Ramadan, expressing hope for peace and tranquility for all Muslim nations.

Referring to recent developments, the Iranian president said the Islamic Republic was in the midst of negotiations aimed at resolving outstanding issues when it was attacked for the second time by the United States and Israel.

He described the attack as a criminal act that led to the martyrdom of Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, as well as several innocent Iranian citizens, including schoolchildren.

Pezeshkian added that the aggressors had abused the territory of neighboring countries to carry out attacks on infrastructure, public places, hospitals and other civilian locations.

“In one instance alone, following a brutal attack on a school in Minab, 168 innocent students were killed,” he said.
