Iran’s Diplomatic Strength Rooted in Armed Forces’ Power

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi says the country’s diplomatic strength on the international stage is rooted in the high capabilities of Iran’s armed forces.

Iran (IMNA) - Araghchi made the remarks during a meeting with Army Force Commander Major General Amir Hatami and senior Army commanders on the occasion of the 47th anniversary of the glorious victory of the Islamic Revolution. He emphasized that Iran owes its diplomatic power to the strength and preparedness of its armed forces.

During the visit, senior commanders of the Iranian Army, led by Major General Hatami, went to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tehran to discuss coordination between the military and the diplomatic apparatus in safeguarding Iran’s sovereignty and national security.

Major General Hatami, accompanied by a group of senior commanders, held a joint session with Araghchi, during which the two sides exchanged views on the combined role of the military field and diplomacy in defending the foundations of the country and protecting its sovereignty and national security.

The foreign minister welcomed the presence of the Army’s top commanders at the Foreign Ministry and expressed appreciation for the sacrifices and dedication of the armed forces in defending Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

He described coordination between diplomacy and the military field in ensuring national security as a divine blessing born of a sense of national responsibility and as a guarantee of victory against foreign conspiracies.

Araghchi also referred to the Foreign Ministry’s approach to advancing Iran’s foreign policy objectives with strength across various arenas, including nuclear negotiations, and briefed the Army commander and his delegation on the issues discussed during the Muscat meeting on February 6.
