Erdogan Signals Turkey’s Readiness to Facilitate Iran–US Dialogue

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a phone conversation with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian to review bilateral relations and discuss the escalation of military tensions in the region.

Iran (IMNA) - During the call, the two leaders exchanged views on the current state of ties between Ankara and Tehran, as well as recent regional developments, with a particular focus on the intensifying military situation.

President Erdogan underscored Turkey’s readiness to play a facilitating role between Iran and the United States in an effort to ease tensions and address outstanding issues.

He also noted that he is scheduled to meet later today with Iran’s foreign minister, who is currently on a visit to Turkey.
