Iran’s Foreign Transit of Goods Totals 13.5 Million Tons in Eight Months: IRICA

The Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) announced that Iran’s foreign transit of goods amounted to 13.5 million tons in the first eight months of the current Iranian calendar year, which began on March 21, 2025.

Iran (IMNA) - According to IRICA, more than 105 million tons of non-oil goods, valued at approximately $37 billion, were exported from Iran between March 21 and November 22, 2025. This reflects a 1.17 percent increase in weight and a 3.48 percent decrease in value compared with the corresponding period last year.

During the same period, imports exceeded 25 million tons, with a total value of over $39 billion. These figures show a 3.03 percent rise in weight and a 14.29 percent decline in value year on year.

The report noted that more than $46 billion worth of non-oil goods had been imported into the country in the first eight months of the previous Iranian calendar year, from March 21 to November 22, 2024.

China, Iraq, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey and Afghanistan were the main destinations for Iran’s exports in the period under review.

IRICA added that the country’s foreign transit of goods reached 13.5 million tons in the first eight months of the current year, marking a 9.25 percent decrease compared with the same period last year.
